A long exposure shot of a sunflower blown by the afternoon breeze in the Hope and Memory Garden in Thunder Bay, Ontario, planted in memory of cancer victims and survivors. The image is a single photograph with digital effects applied to enhance colour and contrast.
Firefighters die every year from job-related cancers due to their exposure to smoke and toxins in the line of duty. 50% of the proceeds from this image will be donated to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation: http://www.cfff.ca/EN/index.html.
