Artist's Description
The Nipigon River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Nipigon River, just east of Nipigon, Ontario. The bridge is a single point of failure in Canada's National Highway System, which means that if it closed it would effectively require vehicles travelling between eastern and western Canada to detour through the United States. It is one of several such points on the Trans-Canada Highway, all of which are in Northwestern Ontario. More details on the bridge, and a failure that occurred shortly after it opened, can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nipigon_River_Bridge

Terrific lines - great use you made of the gracefully curving diagonals here. I always marvel that cables as fine as these can support so much. This was one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for April 28.
Tim Beebe replied:
Thanks very much Nikolyn!

I like the pair view, Tim, with their crossing lines. Lots of pleasure for the eye against the soft sky. This is a pod choice for me in the Best of Minimalism group.
Tim Beebe replied:
Thanks very much for the thoughtful comment and support Mitch!
